Through the VGH program, HFH Malawi provides houses and sanitation facilities to orphans and other vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities, in rural communities of Malawi. The program also offers complementary services such as malaria and HIV prevention, as well as property rights training to the targeted households. This project directly contributes to the achievement of the Vulnerable Group Housing Program and aligns with Goal 11 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aims to ensure that human settlements are inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. The thematic area emphasizes the need for accessible infrastructure that accommodates the diverse needs of community members, including those with disabilities. It also resonates with SDG 10 by focusing on reducing inequality, specifically by promoting non-discrimination and equal opportunities. To date we have supported over 7, 638 households.
